Geekspeak Episode 6: Halloween Sean Nelson Edition!

Blogged by Ian Levenstein as Uncategorized — Ian Levenstein Thu 10 Nov 2005 5:28 pm

Episode 6 of Geekspeak is here, and it is indeed the largest episode yet. Not in size, but in talent! Sean Nelson of Harvey Danger joined me on this Halloween Edition of Geekspeak, and there was much fun to be had. This episode was recorded on Thursday, October 28th at the Brooklyn College Studios. Topics discussed include:

  • PS2 Slimline: Not PS2 compatible? Eh?
  • Interview with Sean Nelson of Harvey Danger. We discuss their latest album, “Little By Little,” which is available for free download on their web site, industry reaction ot the release, and the digg and slashdot effect on spreading the word.
  • Torrents can be your friend!
  • “Little Round Mirrors” by Harvey Danger, played in its entirety.
  • Zelda III ebay prototype: Real, or phony? A web site that goes in depth on the prototype can be found here.
  • Hey there kiddies, it’s Hecksing! WTF mate???
  • The Wind Up: The White Sox are World Series Champions…what now?

Thanks again to Sean Nelson for joining us, and make sure to download their album! You won’t regret it. You can e-mail Geekspeak at speakgeekspeak@gmail.com, and you can call in from 6-7 on Thursdays when we stream live on Brooklyn College Radio.

Hope everyone has a happy Halloween, and I’ll be back next week! Take care everyone, and thanks for downloading.
