Comic Timing – Episode 157: Comic Catch-Up!

It’s been a few weeks since Brent and Ian got to talk, so they rectify that in this two-man episode! Brent gives his opinion on the X-Men: Days of Future Past movie as well as Transformers: Age of Extinction, while Ian weighs in on Edge of Tomorrow. They also discuss some stuff about the upcoming Flash CW show and what we can expect from DC’s movie slate. And hey, actual comic talk! Batman Eternal, Futures End, New Avengers, Uncanny Avengers, Sex Criminals, SEX, and a few other books are on the docket. Finally, they touch on New York Comic Con’s quick sellout of tickets, and what that might mean for the future of comic book conventions. Give it a listen!

Comic Timing – Episode 152

lego-will-arnett-batman-600

According to Brent, this episode is titled, “The Back-Up Plan: The All Bitching Episode.” Although we do a lot more than just bitch, I promise. Brent and I are joined by Mr. Raphael Soohoo as we discuss The Flash’s new TV outfit, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the season so far (including the Sif episode), The Lego Movie, Brent’s review of Justice League: War, the official cancellation of Beware The Batman!, the announcement of the Arkham Knight game, my thoughts on Fables: The Worlf Among Us, and plenty more. We also review some comics, including Forever Evil #6, Superman/Wonder Woman #6 both She-Hulk and Ms. Marvel #1, Secret Avengers, Image Comics’ Zero and some other stuff here and there.

As a warning, there was a chirping noise that kept recurring throughout the recording. We couldn’t trace the source, so it’s there throughout. I did my best to get rid of it whenever possible, but it’s still there occasionally. Shouldn’t be too loud or annoying, I swear! Also, next week we should be joined by Sean and Jim of Raging Bullets, as due to power outages we had to push their episode back a week. So barring any other weird weather, it shall be done!

Comic Timing – Episode 50: Part 1

Part 1 of Episode 50 is here, and we are feeling Retro! Here are the first two segments, the first with the original Comic Timing crew, plus Brent Kossina: Tobey Cook and David Price! Then we have a discussion with Sean and Jim of Raging Bullets, as well as Freddie E Williams, the brand new artist on Flash. Finally, after the credits roll, I included a lost segment with Brent, Raph and I just shooting the breeze back in the summer. The segment is not very comic book related, but it’s good fun. And of course, on the main body of the show, we are talking Comic Book Universes! Enjoy.

Comic Timing Syndication – BK Bullets: Flash #13

Another syndicated episode! On this one, Brent Kossina and I do a BKs Bullets for Raging Bullets, all about Flash #13. We also touch on the Justice League of America #10 reveal a bit, and go a few other places too. This will air on Raging Bullets this upcoming Friday, on Episode 49 Part2b, so make sure to listen to it to hear Sean and Jim and their take on our comments. I will be in San Diego for Comic-Con this week, hence the syndicated episode. Next week, expect a wrap-up episode of SDCC, possibly with John Mayo and some interviews from the con floor. Plus, I included a blooper conversation at the end of the episode from the original recording session as an added bonus.

Until next week, thanks for listening, and thanks for downloading!

Comic Timing – Episode 41

Episode 41 of Comic Timing hits! Well, hopefully it hits. If it flops, I will be a sad panda. Brent Kossina, Raph Soohoo, and myself review Marvel Comics latest foray into movie land, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. This episode is jam-packed with comments, both positive and negative, on the film, and what we would like to see in FF3. Give it a listen, and if you have not seen it yet, check out the movie in theaters!

After the credits and the typical bloopers are a bunch of very off-topic segments I felt had to be included. In them, we do a bit of discussion on Flash #13 and Justice League of America #10, so there will be spoilers there. And of course, we spoil the FF movies, because that makes sense!

As always, you can e-mail the show at comictiming@gmail.com, and please vote for us at Podcast Alley and Digg us on Digg.Com.

We will be back next weeek with our wrap up of the MoCCA Festival, plus some Marvel and DC News. Until then, thanks for listening, and thanks for downloading!
