New look, new web site, new forums, new…Geekspeak!

Hey everybody! Well, the transition has officially been made from Typepad over to the brand new Geekspeak web site, right here at speakgeekspeak.com! Typepad suited me well for the short time I was there, and I would certainly recommend it to anyone first starting out either as a blogger or as a podcaster. But now, 8 episodes in and an itunes feed later, Geekspeak has outgrown its Typepad address and moved on to bigger and better things. Not only is this a completely new web site as designed by the good folks over at Blogger, but there are also brand new forums! That’s right, Geekspeak now has a forum available at http://speakgeekspeak.com/forums. So anyone who enjoys the show and would like to be able to correspond with other listeners, and myself, then hop on over to the forums and sign up for an account.

And last but not least, each and every episode of Geekspeak to date is now available with ID3 tags included, for easier sorting in iTunes and other media players. And a gigantic thank you once again to my girlfriend Megan Balmos for the art used as the Geekspeak iTunes logo.

Anyway, just wanted to let you folks know what’s going on. I’m still tweaking the site to look proper in IE, but it looks quite lovely in Firefox. Episode 8 of Geekspeak is recorded and will be available sometime tomorrow afternoon. Until then, take care everybody, and I hope you all enjoy the new home!
