Comic Timing – Episode 36: Part 1

Independent Comics! There are plenty of them, with plenty of different genres out there. Here on Episode 36, I will try my best to get the creator perspective on the current state of independent comics, while hopefully spreading the word on their work. In Episode 36 Part 1, I am joined by Dave Wachter of the fantastic indie book, Scar Tissue. Dave is quite the guy, and has plenty to say, so I do hope you enjoy it all and check out his book!

In Episode 36 Parts 2 and 3, I will be joined by Steve Bryant, who finally managed to record an interview! Yup, the curse has been broken. You know I kid, Steve. Anyway, that will come out over the course of the next week or so. Good times, good stuff for all! Or something like that.

Comic Timing – Episode 33: New York Comic Con Wrap Up

The first wrap-up podcast is here! This show was recorded live at New York Comic Con 2007, with a whole bunch of guests. Raph in person! Sean and Jim in person! Freddie E Williams II, artist of Robin! Molly Crabapple, co-creator of Dr. Sketchys Rainy Day Coloring Book! Fat Momma and Feedback from Who Wants To Be a Superhero! Dave Wachter of Scar Tissue, and Uncle Sal himself! Plenty of fun recording the interviews, and a great time to be had in general. Later this week, I will be recording a full con wrapup and review with Sean, Freddie, and Raph, so there is more con content to come.

As always, you can e-mail the show at comictiming@gmail.com, and if you have the time, please Digg the show, and vote for us on Podcast Alley.

Thanks to everybody for stopping by the booth, and thanks for your continued support of the show!

Comic Timing – Episode 13

hey folks. Well, David Price has made it back safely from Wizard World Chicago, and on this week’s episode, we discuss the convention. Along with David, we are joined by two other attendees, Brian Salazar and Chris Neseman from one of the best comics podcasts around, Around Comics. During the episode, we touch on the overall scope of the crowd, creators and comic books that were discovered at the con, the evolution of Dave Wachter and Mike Norton, and a whole lot more. There were portions of the show that had to be cut due to a sounds glitch halfway through the episode that led to myself getting out of sync with the rest of the panelists, but I do hope that you all still manage to enjoy what was able to be make it through, as what did make it is well worth the listen. And thanks again to Chris and Sal for joining us, and we hope to have them back again sometime.

You can e-mail the show at comictiming@gmail.com, and don’t forget to vote for us on Podcast Alley.

Enjoy the rest of the week, and see you all next time.
